Effective keyword and search phrases The best way to work on this is to think about the way you use a search engine. There was a time before the Internet became so populated that using a single keyword would be enough. But now we need to be more specific in our search terms, example “door manufacturers Fraser Valley” Start by putting together a list of search terms to describe what you do, sell and where you do it. Once you have a great list of search keywords, we need to populate the web site with them. They need to be put into the site so that they read well and flow. It should not appear as we are “keyword stuffing” because that is considered spam to the search engines and you may not get listed at all as a result. Your best guide is to read it back and if it flows like natural conversation, you’re alright. We need to place these keywords into the title, meta tags and content of the page. You should try to concentrate on only a few keywords per page. This way each page will be seen as unique in the "eyes" of the search engine. Nothing they love more then lots of unique content to serve up for their customers. Your type of business and how often things change in your business will determine how often you need to work on new keywords. For example a video store would want to list new movies and titles constantly. Adjusting keywords is something you want to keep an eye on to make sure you do not fall too far behind.
