Warning: Facebook Making Major Change to Business Pages

Facebook is finally admitting that Fan Pages will no longer have organic reach in favor of paid ads.

According to AdAge Facebook said,

"We expect organic distribution of an individual page's posts to gradually decline over time as we continually work to make sure people have a meaningful experience on the site."

What this means for those of us with Fan pages? 

This means that your updates and content that you're giving away on Facebook will no longer reach as many people. It has declined for most people by 20% over the last couple of months. And according to Facebook, will gradually decline. 

Is Facebook still worth it?

Marketing is all about three things: brand recognition, referrals, and sales. So unless you know your ROI from facebook, its difficult to say if you should continue to engage on Facebook. But one thing we know - its gonna cost you!

To keep your engagement you'll need to "Boost" your updates. Essentially its purchasing an ad - but its easier and simpler to do.
